1.2 - Pre-Patrol Checks
Before leaving the police base you must assure you have the correct equipment, and that you are prepared to go on patrol. Don’t forget to go on the radio and call yourself online. Before leaving the police department call yourself 10-8 over the radio.
1.3 - Jurisdiction (Don’t Follow Yet)
Altis Police department- They are the regular patrol units your job is to ensure safety within the general public and act as first front line responders from the police department.
SWAT Jurisdiction- SWAT Jurisdiction is raiding rebel and houses, also responding to Jailbreaks, Bank Robberies and Hostage Situations.
1.4 - Approaching Ranks
This is how to approach and talk to the ranks of the police department.
Recruit - Call recruit

1.6 - Ride Alongs
Requirements to Ride Alongs: Sergeant +
Ride alongs are used for training cadets and civilians that wish to join the police force. If you do wish to do a ride along as a Sergeant with a civilian you must tell everyone over the radio by saying this is unit [Badge number] I have a ride along with me his name is [Name]. this will inform the PD that there will be a civilian with an officer from PD doing a ride along.
Equipment Ride along can have: A stab vest depending which department you are from Sheriff or Lakeside patrol. A civilian cannot have a weapon during the ride along.
After the Ride along is done you will need to retrieve the equipment back from your cadet. Once the ride along has been completed, contact the captain on TeamSpeak and suggest that he joins PD as soon as possible remember that you must include what they done well and what they need to improve on like RP skills, How well he listens, Can he perform procedures etc.
NOTE! Always show a good example towards your ride Along. This can further influence their attitude towards the PD and maybe even convince them to join and help in the line of duty.
3.2 Traffic stop procedure
1. Switch Lights on with no sirens
And Pull them over Announce your cop Name and say that you are doing a 38 On Location, Type of vehicle and how many occupants. Only use Sirens if they are evading
2. If they have pulled over, step next to the drivers window and tell them why they are getting pulled over. Tell them to step out the vehicle with license and registration, check License and registration. Ask for a 29 (Warrant check) On (Player)
(Be sure to inform officers on teamspeak of ongoing situations)
3. Approach the vehicle just behind the back of the driver door. Announce your name and that you are from the APD Department. Ask them if they know why you have pulled them over? If they say no or the incorrect answer explain in detail why you have pulled them over.
4. Next stand back slightly and ask them to step out of the vehicle with their licence and registration, and ask them to sit to the far right of their vehicle. Press ‘windows’ on them and click check licences to make sure that they have a proper licence according to the vehicle they were driving. Warn them that while you go back to your vehicle to check warrants that if
They are to stand up they will have to be restrained for their own and your safety. If they have a passenger with them tell them to lock the vehicle and to keep the passenger within the vehicle.
5. Walk slowly back to your vehicle not taking your eye off of the suspect, ask the dispatch for a 10-29 on [PlayerName]. If they say they are all clear then you can ticket the player according to the right offence. However if they are to call a 10-99 call for immediate backup and stay in
Your vehicle until backup arrives. You will then perform an armed detainment (Explained in another section) If no dispatch is on press 4 and check that player has no warrants (Follow standard 10-99 procedure if player has warrants)
6. If player is set free release the suspect wishing them a good day and tell them to drive safely. Do not leave until the suspect has drove off. You then need to radio out that [Cop Number] is now free from the traffic stop and available for calls.

Officers have the right to search any civilian under probable cause. If the civilian does not consent then you may detain for up to 90 minutes. This is for sole purposes of collecting evidence.

4.3 Miranda Rights
“You have the right to remain silent, anything you do say can and will be used against you in a court of law. You have the right to an attorney, if you cannot afford an attorney one will be appointed to you by the state if available at this current time.”
4.4 Attorneys
When you ask for an approved attorney you must check to see if there are any on at that current time if there are none available then an attorney is not to be waited for and instead the man is to be placed in prison if you fail to tell him ‘if available at this current time’ he may sit with you at PD for up to 90 minutes before he is placed into prison at any point in this duration should a lawyer become available he can then choose to have that lawyer represent him.
4.5 Arresting Procedure
In Vehicle
Sir now step out of the vehicle with no weapons, if you have a weapon you must declare so now or you will be shot upon leaving the vehicle.
Sir step away from the vehicle and put your hands on your head, so we can search you and your vehicle.
If there is passengers repeat the process one by one
Once you have gotten the civilian from the vehicle then you may;
Check his license and registration
Search the vehicle
Search Him
Then you read them their Miranda rights. After this you are to return to the police department to finalize the arrest.

A: How to negotiate
When you are the negotiator you must walk up to the the side of the bank doors with you gun lowered or holstered.
Look inside the Building to see how many hostages and suspects you can see and then ask them how many hostages they have and what their demands are. Once they have told you radio in saying how many hostages they have and how many suspects there are with their location. Ask other officers to chip in and take screenshots as you will get compensation for helping out with demands. You can retrieve your money in the requesting staff channel.
When they get their money and escape chase them and ticket them 100k at a time as that is the max ticket and keep giving them the ticket until all the money has been returned. Once the money is collected arrest them and take them back to PD so that you can process them and arrest them for the crimes they have committed. CHECK THEIR WARRANTS.

C: Negotiators
When deciding on who is the negotiator S.W.A.T will always take charge and if no S.W.A.T are available the highest command member will take charge (following the CoC) If no command are on duty the highest ranking officer from any department will take the lead in negotiations.
5. Appropriate force
5.1 lethal force
When a suspect directly puts an officer's life in danger, attempting to physically kill an officer. By Shooting at them or attempting to run them over. If they are stealing police equipment or vehicles(Officers discretion, you may shoot the suspect without asking a higher officer)
5.2 Taser
When a suspect is running away or towards you, you may use a taser if they do not co-operate with your orders. (Officer's discretion, you may Tase the suspect without asking a higher officer) (If the suspect is running away from you, you must be in pursuit of them for 30 secs before a taser can be used.)
5.3 No force used
When a suspect is cooperating or you are within the range to handcuff the suspect, then you may handcuff them without tasing first. (Officer's discretion, you may Handcuff the suspect without asking a higher officer)
5.5 Martial law*
During martial law the highest ranking police department officer will take command. Other than that your rank will no longer matter and you will then be sorted by command one the bearcat with the highest ranking officer within. The drivers of the other vehicles will then be in charge of maintaining radio contact with command one and following orders. Failure to follow the orders of anyone within command one will result in an instant punishment if they are a sergeant and you a department captain but they are in command one you must follow orders no matter what. Any civilians seen with a firearm can have it confiscated as soon as it is seen or be shot in the back of the head.
6. Checkpoint Duty
6.1 authorization
The authorization to set up a checkpoint must come from a Sergeant or higher. The Sergeant will say where the checkpoint is to be and then 2 or more officers will set the checkpoint up.
A Sergeant or higher may supervise a checkpoint at any given time as long as they have permission to set the checkpoint up.
6.2 dealing with civilians
Sir please drive through the open barrier and stop your vehicle with the engine turned off.
Sir now step out of the vehicle with no weapons, if you have a weapon you must declare so now or you will be shot upon leaving the vehicle.
Sir step away from the vehicle and put your hands on your head, so we can search you and your vehicle.
If there are passengers repeat the process one by one
Once you have gotten the civilian from the vehicle then you may;

6.3 Common questions and answers
A civilian runs the checkpoint; follow him and charge him 15 minutes for evading checkpoint or code red if authorised by a sergeant.
The civilian has warrants; restrain him and have a cage unit take him to jail
The civilian has illegal items on him or in the vehicle; you may restrain the civilian and have a cage unit come take the civilian to jail.
A civilian is armed at the checkpoint without declaring then you may shoot him without authorization

When a member of APD it is your job to ensure that the main city in LSV stays safe and crime free. Your job is to stay within lakeside city and you can patrol up to jail as well.
As part of the Altis PD you also have unlimited jurisdiction however you are there to enforce the laws out of lakeside and may only respond into it if there is a backup call. After the call has been dealt with you are to leave Lakeside IMMEDIATELY.
S.W.A.T are a special team of highly trained individuals there to deal with some of lakesides most dangerous gangs. There special weapons mean they can effectively breach and enter buildings leaving at the best only enemy casualties.
‘Even Cops dial 911’
No one should use the S.W.A.T bearcat or Hunter unless authorized by a member of command or it is threat level red or above.
8.3 Rank Responsibilities
Chief / Sheriff
Process Promotions - Process the promotions put in by lieutenants and accepted by the department captains.
Supervisor Development - make sure that all of his supervisors understand their role and have training.
Office Paperwork - every checkpoint that you supervise you will write a report on the website forms with the officers names in which were involved, with a full detailed report on what happened.
Approve and Process Transfers - Accept the transfers officers have put in after they have been accepted by a department Lt from both sides.
Accept PD applications - Accept applications to join the police department that people have put in on the forums.
Updating the Roster - Managing and removing inactive officers from the PD can directly hand out badge numbers to new cadets who need it
Macro Bureau Development - assist the chief with changes inside his bureau and request and make micro changes within his bureau.
Captain
Approve Promotions - requested by the Lieutenants, but also to make sure that the people who are having a promotion request against them have the right trainings and records to take on that rank. (Cadet to Lieutenant), (This only refers to the department he has control over).
Supervisor Development - make sure that all of his supervisors understand their role and have training.
Macro Bureau Development - assist the chief with changes inside his bureau and request and make micro changes within his bureau.

Senior Supervising - as a senior supervisor a lieutenant generally maintains a section of police officers, during roll calls and make sure those officers are getting promotions and recognition when deserved. (1-3 Sergeant's 9-18 to Officers).
Field Supervising - if a civilian is in request of a supervisor and you are the closest to that position you respond and help out. You will also come to an officer's aid if needed. You will make sure that if you see an officer speeding you pull them and put a strike against them. Supervise checkpoints, make sure that the SOPS are carried out when stopping and searching civilians.

General Duties - traffic stops, searches and etc.

Field Supervising - if a civilian is in request of a supervisor and you are the closest to that position you respond and help out. You will also come to an officer's aid if needed. You will make sure that if you see a officer speeding you pull them and put a strike against them.
Field Training - will make sure that when a new officer has come out of training that that officer has at least on ride along and close watch, if needed will pull up at the new officers traffic stops and oversee then give feedback and make sure the officer is completely cared for.
Section Supervising - the sergeant will have a group of officers to supervise as main, making sure they are trained and understand the job of an officer, generally turning up at traffic stops and making sure the officer is doing well. (5-9 Officer to supervise).
General Duties - traffic stops, searches and etc.
8.4 Strikes
A:
Strike 1 - This means you have broken Standard operating Procedures of the police department, when issued with this strike the police command are informed and keep a look out on you.
Strike 2 - This means you have yet again received another strike, from that point you are automatically suspended until further notice from the police command. From that point a meeting will be set up with your department leader and the police command we will discuss ways of improving yourself and then assign the appropriate action to you.
Strike 3 - This means again you have received another strike and will be removed from the police department. (can fill out another app after 2 weeks)
This system will be followed depending on how serious the situation was.
9.2 Benefits
After completing any additional trainings new things will become available to you for example in order to use a rifle you will need rifle training there are no exceptions.
Doing sidearm training will allow you to use any sidearm available to you as long as it follows the SOP’S Driver training allows you to drive any vehicle mentioned for your rank in the 1.1 section. And ETC.
9.3 What next? (READ)
After your PD application is accepted you will need to go to the ‘my application was accepted channel’ in TeamSpeak once spoken to by a member of command you will be assigned your recruit tag and the corrections department tag. After your cadet training you will then stay in corrections for one more week and after these weeks you will be promoted to an officer and asked what department you want to join you will need to go to the ‘awaiting command’ channel in TeamSpeak with your test report for proof of your join date. You will then be given the correct tags according to your choices. If you have any questions ask your instructor now!
Recruit - first stage can play in game as corrections only, Taser only. Assigned when application accepted
Cadet - Second stage can play in game as corrections only, may use a Rook, assigned when finished basic training, May go on ride along
Using your name as a civ affiliates you with the cop force you will be removed if you commit crime with the same name!
